New Hires
You are eligible for coverage on your hire date. You must enroll for coverage within 30 days of your hire date. If you don't enroll, your default coverage will be company-paid basic life insurance and disability.
You can enroll online at myTennecoUSBenefits.com within 30 days from your date of hire. You can also call the Tenneco U.S. Benefits Center at 877-436-3409 to enroll over the phone.
If you miss the deadline to enroll you won't be able to enroll again until the next Annual Enrollment period, or unless you experience a qualifying life event.
Qualifying Life Events
If you experience a qualifying life event, such as getting married or having a baby, you have 30 days from the effective date of the event to make changes to your benefits.
